The Golden State Dance Company, after so many years of successful and unforgettable productions, has announced they will no longer operate. However, their essence will continue to live through the Maple Conservatory of Dance!
The Maple Conservatory was chosen to be the recipient of all of Golden State's costumes and props and the Maple Conservatory will bring them back to life through our brand-new production of the Nutcracker and other dance and ballet productions.
"For many years we have admired Charles Maple, not only as an amazing teacher but also for his beautiful and innovative choreography," said Golden State board member Monika Brock. "In a mere four months, he and his business partner, Kathy Crade, have created a nationally recognized pre-professional ballet school in Orange County with an incredible team of world-class teachers. Charles has a strong vision. He is known for his hard work and professionalism and we honestly could not think of a better home for our priceless possessions. Mrs. Mohr, the founder of the Golden State Dance Company, would be very happy with our decision to pass this legacy to you." said Ms. Brock.
The Maple Conservatory is both honored and proud that all of the hard work and generosity of the parents & dancers of Golden State Dance Company will not go to waste. This legacy will help the Maple Conservatory to continue the magic of Golden State, and to create even more enchanting memories.
