Elementary Division

Elementary Division (Ages 2-8)

We offer a flexible schedule based on 4 sessions of 11 weeks each per year: Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer.

No prior dance training is required to enroll in our Elementary Division, which consists of these classes & levels:

  • Mommy & Me (ages 2-4)
  • Creative Movement (ages 2 & 3)
  • Pre-Ballet I & II (ages 3+)
  • Preparatory Ballet (ages 6-8)
  • Beg. Jazz (ages 5+)
  • Beg./Int. Tap (ages 6-8)
  • Lyrical Jazz (ages 5+)
Elementary Division

Tuition is based on the number of classes taken per week. Dancers may choose to take additional classes. These classes are available at a reduced rate and are added to the monthly tuition.

Class enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Classes are closed once capacity is reached.

Performance Opportunities

Dancers in our Elementary Division will have opportunities to perform in our annual Maple Conservatory of Dance June Showcase and with our pre-professional company, the Maple Youth Ballet, and when ready, are invited to continue their dance training and education in our Conservatory’s Classical Dance Division.

Ms. Doheny graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development. In the 1990s Ms. Doheny trained and performed at The Ballet Academy of Northern Virginia under the direction of Madame Solange Binda. Here she helped the director in several areas with particular emphasis on administrative tasks and working with parents in preparation for their annual recital. View Ms. Doheny’s full biography

Ms. Snavely holds a Master’s of Fine Arts in Dance from University California, Irvine. Dancing since the age of three, Ms. Snavely has been teaching and choreographing for the past 13 years. Her teaching styles include ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, modern, swing and Latin dance. As a diverse dancer, she has performed with Ballet Pacifica, Dance N’ ETC, Fiesta Latina, Orange Coast College and UCI Jazz Ensemble. View Ms. Snavley’s full biography

Ms. Viorica is a former principal dancer with National Ballet of Romania. She is a graduate of the National Academy of Ballet in Bucharest and has had the privilege to be coached by Maestro Umrihin, a teacher from the Vaganova Institute. During her career as a professional dancer, Ms. Viorica has been featured in principal roles in various ballets such as Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Coppelia, La Fille Mal Gardee and Swan Lake, among others. Ms. Westmoreland Suzanne Westmoreland is a native Californian, born in Hollywood and raised in Los Angeles. She has been a student of ballet since the age of five, studying as a child with Sheila Rozann, then later as an adult with Stanley Holden and Margaret Hills. In 1990 Ms. Westmoreland and her husband moved to Orange County where she continued to pursue her passion for dance. View Ms. Westmoreland’s full biography
