Dear Dancers, Parents, Faculty and Devotees:
We would like to thank all of you for your generosity in helping to make our Coppelia production a wonderful reality.
It's hard to believe that the Maple Youth Ballet, which was founded last October, is a mere six months old. With your support, our pre-professional company has quickly established a reputation of excellence with this past December's Nutcracker production, our continuing guest performances of Balanchine's Valse Fantaisie and last weekend's debut of our Coppelia production. This excellence is due to the wonderful people who support this organization.
During these past few months, we have been blessed in so many ways.
We now offer the Southern California community a wonderful, state-of-the-art ballet conservatory, the Maple Conservatory of Dance, which has been built upon the highest international standards and features an experienced team of dedicated & talented dance faculty that engages, enriches and inspires each of our students.
Our Maple Youth Ballet company has forged strategic partnerships and alliances with other dance organizations, which include the exchange & sharing of costumes, sets, props, choreography and shared performances. These collaborations have created a unique opportunity for our company dancers to perform with other high-caliber, pre-professional companies and to do more of what they love to do: Dance!
We have been able to tap into the creative powers of many, talented volunteers who are part of our dynamic team: from altering costumes, moving sets, making props and painting, to fund raising, selling tickets and getting dancers to rehearsal on time. It is a huge effort, and in the end, your generous efforts have helped us make this seemingly impossible journey a joyful reality. It is an honor and a privilege for us to receive such passionate support from our parents, dancers and community members.
To our dancers in Coppelia: You all danced so beautifully! What a pleasure it was to work with you. Dancing the role of Dr. Coppelius alongside all of you was so much fun! It is a tribute to your talents, not only as superb dancers, but as a team of creative artists who shaped the material into its final, perfect form. You threw all of your vitality and energy into action. You became the dance and the dance was in you. We are infinitely proud of you and your stunning performances!
And so, the journey of the Maple Youth Ballet continues and the magic unfolds. And the end is nowhere near in sight. Just wait and see what happens next!
Our hats are off to all of you for making our Coppelia production reach the pinnacle of its potential! Thank you all for making the past six months at the Maple Youth Ballet a wonderful & memorable experience!
With warm regards,
